Established a robust user-friendly database to continuously be updated to inform immediate CASH transfer and future programming. Key ddimensions of the assessment included income and livelihood status/activities, food and nutrition security status, market access for food, emergency issues in relation to the effects of Covid-19 and natural disasters, social dynamics, healthcare related issues and vulnerability status, Sexual behaviour, and access to social protection support.

    The World Bank Funded Smallholder Commercialization and Agribusiness Development Project (SCADeP) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) in Sierra Leone

    A countrywide consultation, which resulted into the Development of the Sierra Leone National Agribusiness Policy and Strategy. The policy and strategy document captures a framework of the theory of change on how the agribusiness strategic policy logically aligns with and contributes to achieving the Sierra Leone’s middle-income status. The strategic policy objectives and pillars include: (i) Promoting access to land, market, quality agricultural inputs, appropriate technologies, and practices, and enhanced infrastructural development; (ii) Promoting inclusive access to finance; (iii) Enhancing institutional, legal and regulatory enabling environment; (iv) Promoting institutional, human and research capacities of actors in the sector; and (v) Promoting gender mainstreaming (including women and youth) in agriculture and agribusiness.

Management for Sustainable Development (MSD) Consulting Services Limited is a registered Limited Liability consulting firm in Sierra Leone, which was legally incorporated and operational since 2012. The firm is mainly engaged in research, monitoring and impact evaluation, project planning and management, strategy and policy development, and capacity support services (including capacity building training). The firm is also focused on inclusive and sustained economic growth (agricultural, services and manufacturing sectoral growth and structural transformation), poverty and inequality, agriculture and agribusiness development including smallholder farming and commercialisation, and business/entrepreneurship development (micro, small and medium enterprises – MSMEs). The other key focused areas include education, health (including sexual and reproductive health, HIV, etc), water and sanitation, food and nutrition security, livelihoods and social protection (including cash transfers, village savings and loan associations, etc), environmental management, resilience to climate change and disaster risks and vulnerability, gender inclusiveness in development, and ICT and engineering services.
